I legit got triggered watching that video. My mother was literally the same way. And my husband is exactly like Troy, from personality to age to even body type. I still wouldn't let my parents meet my hubby after 3 years of marriage. In fact, they don't even know I'm gay married. Like, there's no way will I ever let the man who sent me to therapy and paid for me to go to grad school come into any of the homophobic toxicity that comes out of that woman's mouth.

When Ken mentioned how they are a bit too concentrated on the details, I was immediately reminded of something I read a while ago - liars tend to give many unrelated details while describing a situation or reminiscing it, cause they think that detail means truth, when in fact it doesn't because memory is influenced by emotion and those minor details are completely irrelevant Great video by the way 💗💗

I'm finally looking at a real life example of r/entitledparents. That woman is clearly an entitled possessive person who manipulated both her daughters their whole lives to be reliant on her. But now that one of her daughters has her own family that she gave priority to, she goes insane. I have an aunt like that, she got both her two daughters and son married young , got pregnant within the first year then made them divorce their SO. Now they all live with her and she controls and make EVERYTHING about her even her grandkids birthdays.

I don't know what happened to make that woman be what she is now but I'm pretty sure Troy wasn't there when it happened. I really couldn’t believe the way Crystal’s boyfriend was carrying on after ONE night! Manipulative, verbally abusive, controlling jerk. No wonder she’s always on the defence. I bet he tells her she’s ugly when she doesn’t wear makeup, and makes fun of her weight after having kids. You know the type of person? They might be extremely overweight or not taking care of their physical appearance, but still be nasty to others. Toxic relationship. I hope the kids get help.

I don't like the way Dr Phil talks to the Mum. He argues about her Justifying her actions. Everyone has a perceived reason why they do something. Why not let her speak? It doesn't mean she isn't trying. Also, she's aloud to walk around her own home in her underwear if she likes. If they don't like it, then move out!!!! Dr Phil needs to work.on his interpersonal skills, his communication skills.

The subject of marijuana....some people dont like alchohol, just smoke. Recreational doesn't cause you not to be successful. Recreational is what it is . Why hold his own daughter to a higher standard ..to the point of cutting her out of his life because she had a few teenage rebellious missteps while helping himself to her circle of friends without batting an eye? Let's talk about the DAD. Most people consider the age of their own children the growing age of out of bounds. This means that even when your kids turn 30 all their friends also look like little kids to the parent so kinda pedophilia, but legal. He is paying arm Candy, and has no concern about anything other than HOW he looks. Too bad he doesnt really see, how low grade he looks. Hope the mother is thankful, she is free.

They are all grown ass adults. They can do what they want. He is a really handsome older man with some money. Seems like a pretty good catch to me. Money can be an attraction that doesn’t mean that once you get to know him you can’t genuinely fall in love. Life is too short. You need to do what makes you happy. The daughter just needs to live and let live. Only thing I would say is that he needs to include his daughter more and spend time and money with her also. I think that would make he a bit happier.

One of my good friends got pregnant at 15, had her son at 16. She worked 2 jobs, graduated hs, and put her son through college. He’s now 30, an engineer, and married. It CAN be done but man the road is hard.

I was pregnant and single at 19 , I never went back home to my parents , I worked and raised my child , I went to college and bettered myself , bought a house , made good decisions most of the time. I wasnt perfect but my child is now 29 and going to do his masters , hes made me so proud , it can be done but it takes a lot of sacrifice , this girl is nowhere near mature enough , shes relying on her mum raising the baby and thats exactly what is going to happen here

I'm a birthMom. I was raised in an abusive home and my father was a rotten human being. He's dead now and he died still a rotten human being. The first time he called me a whore I was 8 years old. I didn't even know what a whore was, of course. He kept me away from boys and even grown men yet, somehow I ended up being molested by 8 different people. One was a female. He beat us all, my Mom too... unmercifully. My 2 brothers and 2 sisters didn't survive them. They've all been in or, currently are in jail. They've been in mental institutions and 3 of them are heroin addicts. My oldest brother is almost ok, I mean I guess. He survives his past with xanax and other things to keep him numb but at least a doctor is watching and my brother isn't mean like the rest. Me...I got pregnant at 17. Cliff, my father, pulled a gun on me and my sister had to jump on top of him to keep him from killing me. 3 weeks later we moved away. See, my parents were wealthy. And they were in church every time the doors were open. Cliff destroyed every church we ever attended but, we'd be at the one we were at for a long time. He was choir director, I was pianist starting at 12yrs old. I have a thing for piano. On the outside we looked perfect to people. One of our neighbors new. She lived close enough to hear the screams. And when the police were called, we were told they didn't get involved in domestic situations. I'm almost 54 now. This was a long time ago. When we moved I wasn't allowed out of the house. As in I actually couldn't step outside. One day a lady came to our house. She was an adoption facilitator. She handed me 120 files and told me to pick one because my parents were giving my baby away. See, I hid my pregnancy until I felt her kick. I was 5 1/2 months when I told my sister who then told my parents. I did it because I knew they'd make me have an abortion. If they could make it go away and keep their church from finding out, that exactly what would have happened. And, actually it was the first thing out of my mom's mouth and my sister told her it was too late for that. My boyfriend of 3 years had already ditched me and I didn't care. I had my baby and what I thought was going to be the first person to love me unconditionally. Wrong. Until 1998 in Tennessee, if you were under 18yrs old and totally dependant on your parents for anything and everything financial, your baby was in their custody until you turned 18. My daughter's Mom is married to a state senator. They actually had that law changed. Adoption can't be forced on you in Tennessee now. I had my daughter on December 1st 1984. The day my heart was ripped from my body and I wanted to die. I came home emory handed. Suffered through 2 more years of that house. I was finally able to go outside. I forgot to mention that when we moved I wasn't even allowed to sit on the porch. They didn't want our new neighbors to see me pregnant. I would sneak outside at night sometimes just to smell the earth. When I went to doctor's appointments I had to carry the trash out with me to hide my stomach until I got inside of our detached garage. I'm a landscape and wildlife photographer in the Smokies. Maybe that's why I spend so much time outside...huh...I just realized that while typing this. Anyway, I got out at 19 because I got married. I had 2 boys and left a 10 year abusive relationship. I was only in it for the babies anyway. It took me until I was almost 26, to finally have another baby. I thought I'd be cured from losing my daughter. Nope. Guess what? You can't replace one kid for another. I got remarried to the love of my life and had one more son at 33. I found Hannah 10 years later on May 27, 2010. After I had her we moved again in 1986. Her parents lived 3hours away from me before we moved and 3 months before we did, they moved too. Hannah's parents and my parents moved us 1.8 miles away from each other when she was just 1 1/2 years old. We know exactly how far it is. That's one of the first things we did together...we wanted to know the exact distance. I found her by making a facebook page called December 1, 1984 Looking for My Daughter. It's there still for anyone to see. It only took a week. Her aunt saw it and recognized Hannah's picture. I had about 3 pictures they'd given me of her that were taken at the hospital the day after she was born. Her parents got the same corny picture hospitals used to take of babies with the blue background. I always knew I would need help when I left home to keep me sane after the childhood I had and my therapist helped me through handling finding my now 25 year old kid. I didn't want to blow it. I love that man! Skip to 10 years later and my kids are 35, 28, 27, and 20. Hannah is married and yes, I was at the wedding. Her Mom was escorted in and seated of course but, I asked not to be. When she told me she was engaged we made a deal. I told her that her Mom had waited her whole life to do this and since Hannah is her only child she should let her. I told her she's waited all this time to outdo all her friend's daughter's weddings and to let her have fun. All that isn't my thing.. I'm not good at it. The end result was such a beautiful wedding and my daughter looked like walking art. When the person who married then announced them husband and wife they were walking down the isle, Hannah stopped at where I was sitting near the back and she hugged me lol....whew! I'm crying for the 3 millionth time over that..my boys are grown. Josh is a mail carrier, Justin is a computer programmer who's working on one of the presidential nominee's campaign and is running for office locally in 2 years, and Jack is in college on the honor roll and wants to be a history professor at UT Knoxville. Josh has 1 son, Eli...omg..I had no idea you love grandbabies like you love your own babies! And Hannah has LK and she's 3. She also has Javi who's 7. Josh has been raising Eli since he was only 14 months old. My daughter in law had Eli at 16. Both Javi and LK are adopted. My daughter married a very smart man who has 2 masters degrees and he's a very financially blessed man because he worked so hard for it. So, Hannah stays home and fosters kids. Most are temporary but my sweet granddaughter and Javi needed a place forever and boy did they end up in the right place. I never understood how Hannah's Mom could love her as much as I do and in the same way I do....and now I know. Eli, LK, and Javi have certainly taught me that. Hannah looks just like me...she cusses like me too. Genetics are odd lol. And now, having grown up and raised my family and finding my daughter, I don't wish her life away. I don't wish I had raised her in the abusive home I would have been bringing her home to. I don't wish for struggling financially and her paying for it by having less than her friends. That's what would have happened, I was 17. And I don't wish away her very comfortable life with parents who love her just as much as I do. It's all led to where we are now and I can't wish any of it away without erasing our present which is pretty damned good. Adoption is sometimes the answer.... and you won't find many birthMoms who will admit that. Hannah would have had the same Complex PTSD if she came home with me. Nobody in my parent's house left there without it and I don't wish it on anyone, especially my own kid. My story has a happy ending because I worked hard for it. I didn't choose drugs and jail like my siblings because I wanted to be a better parent and create the home I wish I'd had as a kid. And I did.

I think Dr. Phil didn't want to force the girl to give her baby away or have an abortion. He just wanted to show her the possible risks she could take if she keeps the baby because it seems to totally have no ideas about those. She seems to live in her own fantasy and be not ready to take responsibility for her decision. She doesn't even want to apply for a job. I believe that Dr. Phil didn't think that girls shouldn't be a teen mom but only tried to push her to see if she has determination for keeping her baby despite all those risks. I don't think Dr. Phil did anything wrong in this case.

I was 16 & pregnant. My mom never helped with a dime with raising my daughter, neither did my mother in law. I was only a junior in high school, while I finished school my senior year (this was after I had her) my grandma watched her for 2 & 1/2 hours a day 3x a week and that’s all. My husband, father to both of my kids, is still around & is an amazing father. Now every situation doesn’t turn out as good as mine did, but not all grandparents raise their grandkids when they’re children become teen moms. I graduated, now I didn’t go to college (yet). I have plans on starting next fall.

Emily is young, naive and not thinking more than fifteen minutes into the future at any given time. The mother is a moron. I grew up in an adoptive family and I can state unequivocally that the tests people are put through are utter rubbish. Things improved when I got a job as a Merchant seaman (yes, I've heard all the jokes). That 4 years set me up for life and gave me the freedom I always desired.

I just feel bad for the Mom in this situation. Kids have sex before their parents usually find out and then, like this, it's too late. We need more education in schools and households about what life really means. Most people will eventually grow up to raise a child in one way or another so why is it not a fundamental part of society's education for young women. I think she did want to get pregnant and clearly, as we see, she is given some hard reality checks. But, her parents are 100% gonna be financially responsible. I was 26 when I had my daughter and childcare was exactly what he says, basically more than I would make working so there was zero point. I decided I'd rather raise my child at home and educate her to the best of my ability. But again, like the other mother said, no one is ever ready. If we hadn't had our families to help us, we 100% would have failed. It takes a village is the most underrated statement, in my opinion. It truly does. And love above all is what will push you to make decisions that you know you have to make for your child's wellbeing. You do give up everything. Your whole life is about keeping another human alive every single day. With a roof over their heads and food on the table. It takes every bit of strength you'll ever possess in your life to raise a child. Physically but especially mentally. As she said, you don't exist anymore. You exist for them. That is the only thing that matters. It's terrible to see girls so young not have the chance to be free and experience life and college and prepare themselves for what they one day will decide they want. But a pregnancy throws all that out the window. Gone. Sometimes forever. But, not always... However, it's possible. So, if you have the strength to move mountains for your child and understand those responsibilities then you absolutely can figure out a way to do it. Mothers do it every day. We take it one day at a time but in all honesty, the fact is - if you can't take care of yourself yet, mentally and financially, then you certainly will fail at bringing another life into that world.

Brothers say they want to move out of their mom’s house, but whenever they try and leave, she bullies them into taking care of her. Hear some of the contradictory messages she gives to her sons.

She literally admitted to treating her son’s like surrogate partners. Those son’s need to move out, go no-contact for a while (at least), and create boundaries. Your son’s aren’t supposed to be partners. That’s disgusting

The mom sounds creepy walking around the home with just her bra and panties and leaving the toilet door open when she is pooping. As a mom myself that is revolting. The two sons should move to an apartment together and split the rent. Don't give mom your phone no. or address for 6 months at least.

The boyfriend was arrested for EIGHT armed robberies, I wonder if mom let him stay because he had cash to flash.

All that kid is learning is how to manipulate people. That kid, staying out till 3 in the morning, having an armed robber sleeping in her bedroom with her when she was 15, where are cps, that mother has no parenting skills, the father is worse.

she had a sudden severe case of "vertigo" and then everything was weird in her world and her personality did a big switch....Did anyone check her for a stroke???? She's almost text book in her behaviors for certain types of brain damage.

This woman needs serious help and has just no accountability for herself. She doesn’t seem like a bad person but man is she distorting the reality of the situation and why she’s in this situation in the first place

Ugh...Doctor Charles Sophy. I've never seen anyone so consistently smug, sanctimonious and pompous. He looks down his nose at everyone. He shows no compassion for anyone and talks to EVERY. SINGLE. GUEST. as if they are the way they are through choice - it's like he makes a moral judgement rather than a medical assessment! So quick to start pointing the finger..it's incongruent for a medical professional, who swore the Hippocratic oath, to approach these cases like he's there to sit in judgement. He likes to pontificate on the rights and wrongs of people's behaviours rather than appear to be doing some real.good. He seems to treat this like an opportunity to play the Simon Cowell role...just discompassionate, disenfranchised and disinterested. Can't stand the man and other than making valuable connections, I don't believe that he does any practical good for anyone. Charles Sophy is the kind of medical professional that makes people lose faith and trust in the system and behave as though everyone is out to get them.

I am a wife. My husband has a girlfriend. She loves him in a way that I don't. He loves her in a way he doesn't love me. But she and I talk every damn day. We don't ignore eachother. I love her (not romantic but more familial like a sister). We aren't sexually compatible. I don't take her to dinner. But I make sure he remembers thier anniversary. I buy her a Valentine's gift and birthday gift every year. We are poly. My husband has a girlfriend and I'm happy with that.

My brother was a bit different but had anger issues like this kid. I'm happy he decided to get back into therapy when he turned 19. He's doing much better, and is going forward in life. Hopefully this kid gets some help too.

This boy is going to end up in prison then he will be begging for mommy to come see him and send him money

From a quick glance through the comments, I appear to be the only person experiencing this problem, but apart from the voiceover saying "Dr. Phil" in the first second, there’s ABSOLUTELY ZERO AUDIO accompanying this video! I’ve had similar difficulties with other episodes on this channel. Sometimes it only affects the first few minutes, whilst with others the sound’s missing from the entire runtime of the upload altogether. It doesn’t appear to be a systemic fault afflicting my iPad, as every other YT video [from different channels] I’ve played has the audio intact, so I’m kinda baffled as to what’s gone wrong! AARRGH, damned technology!!!

I'm with the grandmother! There's something very wrong with her daughter and grandson! How she has custody of that little girl is beyond me! That poor child doesn't stand a chance! Clearly she didn't do a good job raising her son! Let alone raising her granddaughter!She will no doubt put her in jeopardy with her poor judgement! I don't believe that she's not letting her have contact! I hope he never has the opportunity to harm Leigh ever again! Her holding resentment for her mother turning her back on him? Really? Im a grandmother and if my daughter almost beat my grandson to death I wouldn't be making excuses for her! And who was the female who brought this little baby into this world? Why was this baby in his care to begin with!!!

I don't have faith in the mums ability to have a relationship with her son that is totally separate from her adopted daughter. She talks about him to her, she wants to have holidays with him!!! She apparently has alcohol and rage issues. I hope the help Dr Phil offers is the kind of help that will be very blunt with her about not crossing or blurring lines. I hope the help will be carefully monitoring her.

The mother of the son has internal guilt and is on the show taking initiative to resolve what should be done. Such a hard family dynamic that needed boundaries and clarity. Most important that the little girls identity feel secured. The conflicted mom subconsciously sees her past mistakes in her son and it is (was) affecting her view of this situation. She is caring and loving and I wish them peace ☮️

Why is this mother not being held accountable???!! She is only full of excuses, lies, being totally inappropriate in front of her daughter, not parenting her daughter and neglecting her kid.

This mother has a lot to answer for, but I hate hearing another woman who has been in the situation for two minutes, putting her tuppence worth in just because she's going out with said mother's ex husband. She can put her concerns to her new boyfriend, but it's up to him to to decide if it's worth bringing up and it's up to him to then talk to his ex about it WITHOUT saying his girlfriend brought it up. His girlfriend can NOT comment. She can't help but be a bit biased.

I have to admit that I tend to disagree with Dr. Phil when it comes to situations about kids. Saying the new girlfriend has no say in this... bull!! Any adult who is a witness to any kind of abuse or neglect of children needs to be involved. I thank God everyday that people who had “no dog in the fight” got involved in MY life when I was a baby and rescued me from my birth mom. Those who were in my birth family were too close to the situation to have any real idea what was really going on.

It's sad she's had all this trouble and still so young. If you're not gracious and grateful for what you have, I truly feel and know, it all gets taken away. Oh Angela. I was waiting for her to come onto a show like this. I watch these dumpster fires in my free time, this is a fascinating behind the scenes. Nelson is a narcissistic cheater who reminds me of onision. Angela is just your typical over dramatic jersey girl. They both need to be alone and get some real therapy.

Romina is a MORON and it makes me ask wtf are her parents and what kind of asinine teaching did they give her for 18 years? If her parents taught her this by example then they belong in prison and so does her pos boyfriend. I'm sorry but this girl is just a brainless dimwit. Her voice needs to be taken away from her by taking away her internet access either permanently or until she's been in therapy for at least a full year to give her a healthy thought process.

Her civil rights were violated and the confession after her stating she wanted a lawyer was not legally usable. The moment she said she wanted a lawyer the cops by law were to immediately stop speaking and end any an all lines of questioning and release her without having any evidence. She has a goldmine of a lawsuit she can nail them with.

I don't get why they put the information about the news app on TV.... that defeats the purpose of it. The abuser could hear about it, get the victims phone and find the app and completely destroy that outlet.

Mom chose not to be in the operating room with her daughter because she “didn’t want to see her go through that.” THAT speaks volumes about how this child ended up in this position. Poor kid.

It’s sad that everyone is so focused on the 11 year old getting pregnant, when she obviously could not have been able to do that on her own. Two children made a baby. Chastise both sets of parents, not just the parents of the female.

Neither the Mother or Father noticed she was pregnant. They are too busy trying to blame each other and ignoring the real problem - why Hope is looking for love and affection from a 14 year old as there seems very little coming from her parents. Parents did a lousy job on Sex Ed.
