The real problem is insecurity. Hiding in plain sight. Nothing wrong with being trans, but first you need higher self esteem. Figure yourself out first...making a huge change like that, even though it could be very positive still can be very painful psychologically and if you do not have a working self esteem it can derail you. Diamond is extremely depressed hiding behind this new mask. It’s extreme denial.

Diamond’s mother has to let Diamond fall so that she is forced to change. Diamond is depending on her mother’s codependency to maintain this. Again, Diamond is extremely depressed. She will find a way to get her needs met even if how she does it is dangerous. The only way things will sway in a positive direction is to let go. Diamond needs treatment for depression and probably childhood trauma.

I'm not sure Diamond is true trans. I used to work for doctors that dealt with this, the only unit in the only hospital in England at that time (80s) that dealt with transgender patients. There is a list of criteria that is filled out to be identified as a true trans or someone who's confused or just gay. It used to take a process of 5 years at that time (don't know about now) and so by the time you got to the surgery etc you were pretty damn sure and so were the PSYCHIATRISTS WHO REFERRED THEM. That's how you got the hormones, surgery etc; your psychiatrist had to be 100% sure before referring you for surgery. It cost a lot of money, even then. I suspect Diamond may be more gay man, hidden drag queen than true trans but I may be wrong. However, no one has the right to treat their mum so badly. NO ONE. When you mum is that good to you it must be like a dagger to her heart to hear Diamond say those things, it would be with mine. Want to be a trans and get surgery? Ain't getting it nowhere Western with no home, no job etc. You have to have a stable life first. Diamond could be a beautiful woman on the outside but the inside needs a lot of work.
