Dr Phil Episodes 35 || February 02, 2019

I very much agree. And I rarely agree with Phil. Though he’s also acting like a kid who’s been abused. So whether it’s one of the parents or an event(s) in his life- I think there’s something there he’s just unable to communicate. It took me so long to be diagnosed with autism. I only made eye contact with my mother till second grade. The meltdowns were classic. Stims, specializes interests, certain sounds or colors “hurt.” Aspie Warning Signs 101, really. I don’t know how “shy” they possibly thought a person could be before something is actually wrong. It took even longer to get the incorrect bipolar diagnosis and medications dropped. And the correct BPD and DID in its place. Everything I actually had trauma based, other than autism. But ASD symptoms like severe anxiety and sensory overload were made worse because of trauma, and repeatedly misdiagnosed. I feel for this kid, so much. Looking back it’s still painful that I was that out of control, and was being parented with cops and psych wards and insane amounts of meds. (I’m all for meds when needed. I’m still on meds. Different types, and a smaller amount. Not okay with being over-medicated. And I was, for a long time.) I just think... this kid being on national TV isn’t fair. Even if they blur him, it’s still not exactly anonymous. It’s a lot of hard work when there aren’t proper diagnoses and treatments from day 1. I didn’t get any kind of treatment till 14, and I didn’t get proper diagnoses till 19... and I’m voluntarily being completely retested a few years later now to remove everything incorrect and all the “traits of” things from before I was an adult and have solely the proper diagnoses on my record. It’s been a long time since I was angry like that, but I remember it. I don’t know if this was Feb of this year, but things can get so much better. Getting a little older helps. I really hope nothing but the best for him.

A killer in the making..he’s a product of his up brings. They should of gotten him help at 6 and put a stop to this long ago. I think the parents let him get away with a lot that’s why he acts that way when he doesn’t get what he wants! I’ve seen parents thinks it’s cute or it’s nothing serious and thinks it’s a face the kid is going through n will pass! I agree with dr Phil that the kid has autism and don’t know how to express himself so he get violent cus it’s the only way he knows how to act to get attention!

Good lord they need to start a mandatory parenting course that every person should be required to take... it's not rocket science people! Most these issues could have been prevented! There are lots of autistic behaviours that can be changed or controlled without over medicating! Thank goodness dr Phil is going to help them because they obviously have no idea what they are doing! And for all you viewers labelling this child as a psychopath... Shame on you! You obviously are ignorant on child phycology and those comments are nothing short of cyber bullying!😡 Disgusting!

I have worked with kids that were a fraction of this and it was terrifying. These kind of kids are unpredictable and don't know what they are doing in the moment. I noticed he lines his toys up which are not age appropriate toys. He has sensory seeking behaviors and is developmentally low. He also has a tendency to perseverate on things and has a very slow reaction and processing speed. I haven't finished this episode yet, but just from what I can see with the little information prpvided here, I am thinking comorbidity with ASD. The ASD is the least of their worries but could definitely add to his anger if he feels like he is not being understood. I feel for him and his parents. I hope they figure out what's going on.
